We use Ramp virtual Visa cards for team travel, department expenses, perks and benefits expense stipends, and other work-related expenses. Depending on the type of expense you are requesting, either the Ops team or your manager will approve the spend.

What are virtual credit cards, and how do they work?

A virtual credit card functions like a regular credit card without a physical copy.

It contains all the exact details and identification information as a physical card, including:

• Cardholder’s name
• Credit card number
• Billing address
• CVV
• Expiration date

Can I use a virtual card in-store?

You may be able to use a virtual card in-store, depending on the retailer’s payment system. The easiest method is to add it to your digital wallet (such as Apple Pay or Google Pay).

How to request a new card

You can request a card in seconds through Ramp's website or their mobile app.

1. Log in and click the yellow "Request Spend" button in the top right corner.

2. You can choose between a "New Request" or a card from the various programs the operations team has set up:

   Healthcare Stipend

   Learning and Development Stipend

   Home Office Stipend

   Coworking stipend
