Personal leave days are prorated based on capacity. You’re entitled to 5 paid personal days per year, primarily for sick days. These days can also be utilized for unforeseen disruptions, such as if you are sick, experience a power outage, or when you need to care for dependents.

Given the unpredictable nature of these circumstances, we recommend that you let your manager and team know asap in Slack and request your personal time off in Float as soon as you return.

You can also use Quarterly Life Leave orPaid Time Off (PTO) options for planned self-care days. These are designed to allow you to take time off for rest and rejuvenation without dipping into your allocated personal days, primarily intended for unforeseen circumstances.
