Travel dates

• Arriving from Europe: Arrive by mid-day on Sunday, September 20th

  • Important 🚨 while you likely don’t need to take a 6am flight, do not take the last available flight. This leaves no room for contingency should something go wrong. Programming kicks off at 9am on Monday, and we require everyone on site by Sunday.
  • Lieu time eligibility: 1 day

• Arriving from ANYWHERE ELSE (e.g. AMER, Africa, APAC): Arrive by Saturday, September 19th

  • Lieu time eligibility: 2 days

• Departure date for everyone: Friday, September 25th

Flight guidance

You are expected to book an economy flight that reasonably balances cost, travel time, and convenience. Rather than providing you with a budget, we ask that you book your flights according to the following guidelines:

• Direct or 1-stop routes where practical
• Avoid adding unnecessary layovers or extended travel just to reduce cost marginally
• Avoid significantly more expensive options unless there’s a clear reason (e.g. timing, limited route, visa constraints)

Aim for an option that’s close to the most straightforward and reasonable route from your location. When in doubt, aim to arrive on-time and well rested, within reason 😊

If you’re extending your time in Barcelona, refer to the flight guidance ☝️

If any of these situations apply to you:

• You’re travelling elsewhere before returning home
• You’re adding a layover outside of what’s necessary
• You want to upgrade from economy to a different fare

and it changes the cost materially,

👋 Check in with Sarah before booking. In most cases, we’ll have you pay up front and will reimburse you for the average economy fare between your home city and Barcelona.

Other transportation methods

🚆 If you can take the train to meet us in Barcelona, we highly encourage you to do so! Simply book your travel using options #2 or #3 below.

🚗 If you can meet us in Barcelona via car, keep your fuel receipts. If you’re not driving directly to Barcelona, we’ll reimburse you for the mileage between your home and Barcelona.
