Purpose
The Growth Tracker is a tool for tracking growth using the growth framework. It helps you and your manager assess performance, set meaningful goals, and see progress.
By using the framework regularly—both in structured check-ins and self-initiated reflections—you can stay aligned, make informed career decisions, and take ownership of your growth at Float.
Formal use throughout the year
Your manager will guide structured growth conversations using the framework at least three times a year:
- 360 Feedback (annual review) A full-circle review of your contributions, impact, and achievements with peer, self, and manager feedback.
- June Check-In (mid-year review) A checkpoint to reflect on progress and adjust goals if needed.
- October Check-In (year-end review & planning) A structured conversation to assess growth over the year and plan for what’s next.
Informal use: growth conversations initiated by you
The Growth Tracker isn’t just for performance reviews—it’s a tool you can use anytime to stay on track and take ownership of your development.
Ways to use it:
- Reflect on your strengths and areas for growth.
- Use 1:1s to ask questions, clarify expectations, and get feedback.
- Set and refine learning and development goals with your manager.
How to use the growth tracker
You should create or update your growth tracker if:
- You’re using the framework for the first time (new to Float or during rollout) and are wanting to create a baseline understanding of how you’re performing.
- Your role has significantly changed and you and are you manager are realigning.
- You’re working with a new manager. This is a great tool to align on performance.
