We value our team's well-being and understand the importance of having access to health care. Everyone should have equal access to health insurance, regardless of location. That's why we are happy to offer a monthly health insurance stipend of $500 USD to all team members who are between 60%-100% capacity.

<aside> 💡 To qualify for the Health Care Stipend, your contract needs to be at 60% capacity. If you are on temporary leave or have reduced capacity for family or compassionate leave but have a full-time contract, you still qualify.

Since there isn't currently a flexible Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) provider available for a global team, you can choose an appropriate insurance carrier for your region. You will use a Ramp Virtual Visa for these expenses. The cards will have a maximum spend of $500 USD, which resets monthly. You’ll need to forward a copy of the receipt to Ramp.
If you are a 🌍 global contractor and have already chosen an insurance plan, please email Sarah at [email protected] with proof of insurance. This only needs to be done once a year or when the plan renews.
If you don't have an insurance plan yet, DM Sarah, and she will send you an invitation to Ramp so you can receive your Visa card once you have it set up. Once Ramp is set up and you are paying for your insurance, you will be prompted to upload your monthly receipts via the Ramp portal. Please send proof of your insurance coverage to Sarah at [email protected]; this only needs to be done once when you sign up.
If your chosen insurance provider cannot work with the Ramp Visa for the monthly payments, you can add the expense to your monthly invoice.

We offer a monthly stipend for health plans through Take Command.
To get started, check your Float email for an invite to Take Command. Once you're in, you can waive coverage, bring your own health plan, or purchase a new insurance plan through Take Command's shop. Make your selection by the 10th of the previous month to lock in coverage. For example, select by November 10th for coverage from December 1st.
After you select your coverage, you'll pay for it and we'll reimburse you the monthly stipend via payroll in your next pay (tax-free).
