Examples of this kind of arrangement could be:

• A freelance copywriter that has been commissioned to write a blog post for Float.
• A videographer that has been briefed to produce a video for a Float event.
• A engineering freelancer that has a specific skill set that we require for a project.
• A marketing agency that has been hired for SEO or content creation.

To engage freelancers or agencies, hiring managers need to have a NDA and formal contract in place for deliverables and payment terms are in place. AP Process: General Expense Approval process goes over the payment process.

📄 Before granting access to any freelancer, please ensure we have a signed NDA stored in the NDA Folder on Drive.

• If the freelancer has their own NDA, you can use that. Otherwise, please use our NDA template here.
• Once completed, DM Sarah with:
  1. The link to the NDA being used
  2. The freelancer’s full name
  3. Their email address

Sarah will handle sending it for signature.

We need these agreements and documents in place to protect Float’s IP and to ensure we are clear on the terms of each assignment before they begin. This process isn’t complicated and doesn't take too much time. It has been designed to ensure we can engage freelancers quickly and as risk-free as possible.
