At Float, one of the best ways we help new team members feel supported from day one is through our Onboarding Buddy program. As an Onboarding Buddy, you play a key role in helping a new joiner feel welcomed, connected, and confident during their first six weeks.
This guide will walk you through what’s expected of you (and what’s not!) and how you can make a meaningful impact.

You were picked because you’re approachable, communicative, and have a great understanding of how Float works. Your main goal is to help the new joiner settle in, feel part of the team, and know where to go for help.
The Ops team will add you to the new joiner’s Slack onboarding channel and HiBob profile, and you’ll be assigned tasks directly via HiBob.
