We all come together for a 2-day meetup once a year! The meetup is generally structured as one day of workshops, presentations, and planning, and one day of fun, where an event is planned to experience the city and get to know each other better. We’ve grown over the last few years and so have our meetups as you’ll see below!
Float covers accommodation for 3 nights, flights, and related travel expenses. Float also covers meals and scheduled events during the meetup for team members. Team members are welcome to invite partners or extend their stays on either side of the meetup at their own expense. Go here for our Travel Policy for IRL meets.
For example, almost half of the team brought partners during the Portugal and Chamonix meetups, and many extended their stay either before or after the event.
While not mandatory to attend, we encourage everyone to do their best to make it. Meetups are typically held around the end of September, with the location and final dates determined by mid-year.
